On-board computer (vehicles with 4-button multi-function steering wheel)
Points to remember
The on-board computer is activated as soon as the key is turned to position 1 in the ignition lock. You can use the on-board computer to call up information relating to your vehicle and to make and adjust settings.

Only use the on-board computer when road and traffic conditions permit. You would otherwise be distracted and unable to concentrate properly on driving, and could cause an accident.

Standard
display
The basic setting
shows the trip meter and the total distance recorder in the multi-function
display. This is the standard display.

To reset the
trip computer: press and hold the

current fuel consumption

Press the

repeatedly until the approximate range and current fuel consumption
appears.

The approximate
range which can be covered depends on the tank's contents and your current
driving style. If there is only a small amount of fuel left in the tank, the
display shows a vehicle being refuelled instead of the range
.
Message memory
The
on-board computer stores certain display messages. You can call up display
messages in this menu.

The on-board computer only records and displays messages and warnings from certain systems. For this reason, you should always make sure that your vehicle is safe to drive. You could otherwise cause an accident by driving an unsafe vehicle.

display messages, you will see

messages. If there are messages, you will see
2 messages, for
example, in the multi-function display.

This menu is only available on vehicles without audio system or
with Audio 20*.

your vehicle by referring to the separate operating
instructions.

Depending on the audio
system* fitted, time and date
are received from GPS satellites and therefore cannot be set using the on-board
computer; see the following table.
