Opening/closing the side windows
You can operate the side windows electrically.

Make sure that nobody can become trapped between the side window and the door frame as a side window is opened. Do not touch or lean against the side window during the opening procedure. You could become trapped between the side window and the door frame as the window moves down. If danger threatens, release the switch or pull the switch upwards to close the side window again.

Make sure that nobody can become trapped as you close a side window. If danger threatens, release the switch or press the switch a second time to open the side window again.

Do not leave children unsupervised in the vehicle, even if they are secured in a child restraint system. The children could:
Activate the child-proof locks if children are travelling in the vehicle. They could otherwise open windows while the vehicle is in motion and thereby injure themselves or others.

It is also possible to open and close the side windows from the outside using the "Summer opening" more and "Convenience closing" more features respectively.
You can disable control of the rear side windows from the driver's seat more.

Make sure that the key is in position 2 in the ignition lock.

When the key is turned to position 0 or removed from the ignition lock, it is still possible to operate the windows until the driver's or front-passenger door is opened, but for no more than five minutes.

If the window is obstructed during closing, the closing procedure is interrupted and it opens again slightly.
|
If the window on the driver's side is obstructed during closing, you can press the switch again within five seconds.

If a window on the driver's side has been blocked, it is afterwards closed without an obstruction sensor. You could therefore trap and injure yourself and others. Make sure that nobody can become trapped as you close a side window.

Opening and closing all side windows (Cabriolet)
You can use the soft top switch more to open all side windows independent of the soft top.

To open all side windows: press the soft top switch twice. Press briefly the first time; the second time, press and hold the switch until the side windows reach the desired level.

To close all side windows: pull the soft top switch twice. Press briefly the first time; the second time, press and hold the switch until the side windows reach the required level.

Resetting the side windows
Each side window must be reset if the battery was disconnected or discharged.

Make sure that the key is in position 2 in the ignition lock.
|
|
Pull the switch upwards until the window is closed, and hold it in this position for another second.
|
Summer opening
You can ventilate the vehicle
before a journey. To do this, you can use the key to simultaneously:

The "Summer opening" function can
only be operated via the key.

Convenience closing
The side windows and the sliding/tilting sunroof* can be closed simultaneously when locking the vehicle.

Make sure nobody is trapped when using the Convenience closing feature. Proceed as follows if there is a risk of entrapment:

Point the tip of the key at the driver's door handle.
|
|
Lock the vehicle with the button.
|
|
Keep the button pressed until the side windows and the sliding/tilting sunroof* are fully closed.
|
|
Check that all the side windows and the sliding/tilting sunroof* are closed.
