Clear all windows of ice or snow before setting off. Impaired visibility could otherwise endanger yourself and others.
The rear window heating has a high current draw. Therefore, switch off the rear window heating as soon as the rear window is free of ice and snow, as it only switches itself off automatically after about 30 minutes.
Make sure that the key is in position 2 in the ignition lock.
