When reversing with little room to spare, systems like PARKTRONIC can make the driver’s life a lot easier. PARKTRONIC is an electronic aid that provides visual and audible signals to warn of a risk of collision when manoeuvring in confined spaces at speeds up to 16 km/h. The system operates on the echo sounder principle. Sensors on the rear bumpers emit ultrasonic signals, which are reflected back by other vehicles or obstacles in the driver’s path.
