Exterior mirrors

Risk of accident

An incorrectly adjusted exterior mirror may impair visibility to the rear. You may fail to recognise hazards in good time and could put yourself or others in danger. For this reason, always check the position of the exterior mirrors on the vehicle before starting a journey.

Also be aware that the exterior mirrors reduce the size of the image. Objects are, in reality, closer than they appear.

	Risk of accident
Roller sunblinds and sun visors could cover up the starting-off mirror and the exterior mirrors. You may fail to recognise hazards in good time and could put yourself or others in danger. For this reason make sure that you can see all mirrors while driving.

	Turn the vehicle key to the drive position in the ignition lock.
	Using the exterior mirror adjustment switch choose the left or right exterior mirror .
	Bring the selected exterior mirror into the desired position by pressing the exterior mirror adjustment switch in a sideways direction.

Adjustments to the mirror arm when transporting over-wide add-on equipment

	Move the left and right-hand mirror arm forward manually until they re-engage.
	Correct the exterior mirror setting.

Exterior mirror heating switch

	To switch on: press button .
	The indicator lamp in the exterior mirror heating switch lights up.
	To switch off: press button .
	The indicator lamp in the exterior mirror heating switch goes out.
