Loads/weights

Risk of accident

The driving, braking and steering behaviour of the vehicle changes when equipment is coupled or attached as a result of the additional overhang and momentum of the equipment.

This increases the danger of your losing control of the vehicle and thereby causing an accident.

Drive with particular care.

The Unimog is of lightweight construction in order to be able to operate with the maximum equipment weights and payloads.

It is therefore necessary to attach additional ballast weights when performing heavy hauling work. The weight of the Unimog must be adapted to suit the work to be performed.

Do not exceed the permissible axle loads, wheel loads (half of the axle load) and the maximum permissible gross vehicle weight. There is otherwise the risk of damage to tyres, the chassis frame and axles.
