Refuelling

Risk of fire and injury

Fuel is highly flammable.

Fire, naked flames and smoking, and the operation of additional heaters (ignition sparks) are therefore prohibited when handling fuels.

You should therefore also deactivate the auxiliary heating system before filling the tank.

Risk of injury

Avoid contact with fuels.

Direct skin contact with fuels and the inhalation of fuel vapours are damaging to health.

Environmental note

If fuels are handled improperly, they pose a danger to persons and the environment. Do not allow fuels to run into the sewage system, the surface waters, the ground water or into the ground.

If you are refuelling the vehicle from drums or canisters, filter the fuel before refuelling.

In this way you will avoid malfunctions in the fuel system caused by contaminated fuel.

Do not use petrol to refuel vehicles with a diesel engine. Do not mix diesel with petrol. Even small amounts of petrol will cause damage to the injection system. Damage resulting from adding petrol is not covered by the warranty.
