The following description applies to the Nokia E70 mobile phone and provides examples using the COMAND APS telephone system.
For additional information and further details on the basic components of the COMAND APS controls and the mobile phone, see the respective operating instructions.
To establish a connection between the mobile phone and your Mercedes-Benz telephone system via Bluetooth, the mobile phone first needs to be switched on and Bluetooth® needs to be activated on the mobile phone (see the mobile phone operating instructions).

To search for a mobile phone: starting from the Mercedes-Benz telephone system's "Telephone" basic menu, select "Data/connections" |

The duration of the search depends on the number and type of Bluetooth® phones. The search may take up to several minutes. |

If the device list is already full, you must de-authorise a previously authorised device; see the operating instructions. |

Once a Bluetooth® connection has been successfully established, the mobile phone will prompt you to take further operating steps.
The mobile phone must be visible to the Mercedes-Benz telephone system.
The display of the telephone system shows the name of the mobile phone once the connection has been established successfully.

Changing these settings can severely impair the transmission quality. These settings cannot be adjusted during an active phone call. |

To adjust the volume of the mobile phone:
Bluetooth® must be activated on the mobile phone; see the mobile phone operating instructions.
the mobile phone must be connected to the Mercedes-Benz telephone system via Bluetooth®.

If basic telephony via Bluetooth® is activated, the contacts (phone book entries) of the corresponding phone are imported automatically into the COMAND phone book.
Depending on the mobile phone, this process may take some time. Depending on the mobile phone, either the phone book entries are imported alone or together with SIM card entries.
vCards can only be received in the Mercedes-Benz telephone system and sent from the mobile phone if:

The Mercedes-Benz telephone system receives mobile phone vCards and the number of imported vCards is displayed.
If your mobile phone does not function in conjunction with the universal hands-free system, check your mobile phone's firmware version.
