Active Blind Spot Assist

Yellow indicator lamp/red warning lamp

Active Blind Spot Assist (vehicles with Active Driving Assistance package)
Active Blind Spot Assist uses a radar sensor system to monitor the side areas of your vehicle. In addition, it uses the radar sensor system to monitor the front area as well. Active Blind Spot Assist provides assistance at speeds higher than about 30 km/h. Warning lamp 1 in the exterior mirror draws your attention to a vehicle or certain obstacles in the monitored area. If you then switch on the corresponding turn signal to change lane, you will also receive a visual and acoustic collision warning. If a risk of lateral collision is detected, corrective braking may help you avoid a collision.
