The following pages provide a brief description of the audio, navigation and telecommunications systems available for the smart fortwo coupé and fortwo cabrio. The descriptions refer to the full scope of optional equipment. Only the descriptions of the equipment actually installed in your vehicle are relevant for you. A detailed description of the systems is available in the separate operating instructions.
Before setting off, make yourself familiar with the various audio, navigation and telecommunications functions. This will prevent you from becoming distracted from the traffic when you operate these functions while the vehicle is in motion.
If you wish to have a radio other than the original smart radio installed in your vehicle, make sure that you have the necessary work performed at a qualified specialist workshop, e.g. a smart Centre.
Audio system basic has the following functions:

Audio system navigation/multimedia has the following functions:

The sound system replaces the existing loudspeakers with more powerful loudspeakers, supplemented by additional loudspeakers (including an amplifier in the right-hand side footwell and a passive subwoofer under the driver's seat).
